I can't add much to Frank or Jesse's recommendations, but I would suggest one more thing. Come by the Meeting next month on the first Friday (March 3 @ 7:30) and bring your Garrett with you. Many people in the club use Garretts and even more started out with one. There will be plenty of people who can give you a few hands on pointers, probably one or two that work for Garrett in fact. Oh and we also have a fun hunt the Saturday after the meeting. We can probably find a few targets for you to sweep over and get an idea of what a promising target sounds like.
