Thanks Rusty it is always a pleasure to hear from a fellow digger.
I too from time to time perfer to dig for my treasure than to use my detector.
It really depends on my health and the seasonal temp.
I "dig" the marbles there are just so many to admire.
The plus is that you just never know what is going to drop out in your lap or on your sifter.

If anybody wants to go to one of the best marble sites you have ever visited let me know.

The finds will exceed your expectations.
You find lots of other things.
The digging is relatively easy.
Most is loose material.
Easy dig, but can be very dusty.

Like I say let me know! I will go on the next Sat or Sun when the high temp will not get above 70/75.
